Do you know where the antennas are In the technicolor TG589vac? I'm wondering what the best angle to position it is? Also there appear to be holes on the underside that look like it might be able to be wall mounted flat against the wall, do you know if this would work and give a good signal? - Answer - The TG589vac is all mountable. The best position is vertically (on a wall) as I believe the aerials are beneath the top cover at 45 degree angles to each other.

is it possible to use the technicolor TG589vac just as a modem, so that it could be connected to a better router?

-------
Not directly but you can attach another router (double-NAT). Alternatively if you have additional IP addresses see the guide I just uploaded (Bridge)

I purchased a TG589vac from an old ISP as their premium router and its a good router, however the the routers home page 192.168.1.1 is covered in the old ISP branding. How do I remove the branding?

-------
The only way I can think of removing the branding is to flash the router with different firmware. If I find any I will add to the website. NickDJ

I've sent you an email which should help. NickDJ

Very useful site, however the TG588v v2 configuration guide for assigning a block of ip addresses seems to be missing.

This has now been corrected. NickDJ
