|Technicolor TG588v v2 - Create a network bridge|
A network bridge is where two routers are used on the same connection. The reason why this may be required is either to create two separate networks or to extend the range when the host router is in a different part of the premises.
As the TG588 and TG589 do not allow you to pass the WAN IP directly to an attached device (aka. Modem Mode) this guide takes advantage of having multiple WAN IPs assigned to a connection. In this example we have used a TG588v v2 as the host router and a TG389ac as the bridged router although any cable/DSL router could be used for the bridge.
